A Shanghai Christmas market? Bring it on
Get everything on your Christmas list in one place with a bit of skating and mulled wine thrown in for good measure. What’s Christmas without a proper Shanghai Christmas market? Not much. Put down the Scrooge act for a while (we get it, we’re sick of all the Christmas music everywhere too), and make your way down to Wending Lifestyle Center to do the holiday up like it should be.
Only open from December 18-31 this limited time holiday destination is sure to be packed but a good time.
The outdoor area will have 15 vendors selling Christmas gifts (do we hear one-stop shopping anyone?), mulled wine (hey, you’ll need to keep warm), gingerbread, ham, candies and just about any other Christmas food people can figure out how to sell. Other highlights: a Santa with a lap ready to be sat on.
Indoors is where the fun begins though. Covering 150 square meters, the ice skating rink is designed by the team that are responsible for the Olympic Bird Nest stadium in Beijing. How can you pass that up?
