The 21-year-old Sun is considered to be the next China-born supermodel, finishing third in the Elite Model Look World Final in 2008.

Shanghai Fashion Week
Held twice a year in Spring and Autumn, Shanghai Fashion Week is Shanghai’s only official organized fashion release. Its last two ambassadors were celebrated Chinese models Emma Pei and Mo Wandan.
Shanghai Fashion Week authorities explained to reporters they chose Sun Feifei for her youthful attitude and rising popularity, characteristics that match the image of the young Chinese fashion designers that Shanghai Fashion Week tries to promote.
To be held during October 20-25, Shanghai Fashion Week 2011 S/S will take place in Fuxing Park and Shanghai International Fashion Center. The latter was renovated from Shanghai No. 17 Textile Factory on Yangshupu Lu and was unveiled in May as Asia’s biggest fashion center.
According to Shanghai Fashion Week sources, the audience can expect familiar faces like Jenny Ji and Simon Wang to present their designs. Around one-third of the fashion shows will be from upcoming young designers, and the opening show will be by Seven Days, a multi-label chain boutique in China.
Rumor also has it that the Shanghai fashion powers that be are looking to also host Vera Wang this October. Fingers crossed for that. At least, the city has her wedding dresses for sale at Barbie Shanghai.
