Shanghai International Literary Festival tickets go on sale
Starting in 2003, with a martini, a book and a dream, the Shanghai International Literary Festival has grown from a small-scale event to the leading English-language literary series in China.

Kicking off on March 4 and running through March 19, the Shanghai International Literary Festival

Tickets are on sale through www.mypiao.com starting today, Thursday, February 24, and can find a list of the 85 writers/authors from 17 countries and their events here.
When you check out the schedule, be on the lookout for events with Leslie Chang (author of “Factory Girls,” a look inside the world of the young women working on assembly lines in a Chinese factory), China chronicler extraordinaire Peter Hessler (who had to cancel his appearance last year), award-winning novelist Amitav Ghosh and best selling novelist Emma Donoghue ("Room").
Big local names include Tess Johnston and Shanghai detective novelist Qiu Xiaolong, will also be hosting talks.
