The closing ceremony was held at Shanghai Grand Theatre with mainly Asian celebrities strutting down the red carpet.
Some of the red carpet big names are Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu, Shanghai-born Hong Kong-based model and actress Angelababy, Japanese director Shunji Iwai and Japanese actor Matsuyama Kenichi.

Winners to all categories of the Golden Goblet Award were also announced the same night.
Chinese movie “Mr. Tree” and “The Young Man Sings Folk Song in the Opposite Door” became the biggest winners.
Helmed by former cameraman Han Jie and produced by Jia Zhangke, dark humor movie “Mr. Tree” took home the Jury Grand Prix and Award for Best Director.
“My initial dream was only to be a cameraman,” Hang Jie said while receiving the awards. “I didn’t try to direct a movie until one day I met Jia Zhangke. I am very grateful.”
The Chinese indie flick “The Young Man Sings Folk Song in the Opposite Door” became the dark horse and wrapped up three trophies: Best Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Music.
Directed by Chinese indie filmmaker Zhang Ming, the movie is based on a similarly titled novel by Li Chunping and introduces the folk song culture in China's Shaanxi Province to the world. This is also the Best Actress winner Lv Xingchen's first movie.
Two of the more heavy-weighing awards of Golden Goblet -- Best Feature Film and Best Actor -- went to Turkish movie "Hayde Bre," directed by Orhan Oguz.
According to Tang Lijun, the deputy secretary-general of SIFF, this year’s Shanghai International Film Festival is becoming more mature in recommending new stars and going real international, and this is the key for SIFF to keep up with its glamour.
