Photo gallery: Shanghai photographers hit the road
Shanghai Photographer night is back, and in honor of summer road trips, the city's best shutterbugs offer shots from their recent travels
6 July, 2010Summer is travel season in Shanghai, and to get you in the mood to move, Shanghai Photographer night is taking its cameras on the road, showing what the best of Shanghai’s photographers have to offer when it comes to China travel photography.
The feature photographer of the night is the United Kingdom’s Boris Austin with "Analog Abstractions.” Austin offers an artistic approach to his work, showing a lomographic series of travel photography. Inspired by his background in graphic design and the bright neon colors of the 1980s (who isn't inspired by those?), this series plays with and layers colors and ideas found in his immediate environment.
Also showing are Rasmus Weng Karlsen ("Reptile Retard China Tour 2010"), Shanghai native Whim and Aki. For more of their shots, click the gallery button above.
Escape Shanghai for a few hours on Wednesday night.
