The Mushrooms MAO Livehouse
The Mushrooms headline the Mao Livehouse October schedule.

Breath was bated citywide for a sneak preview of Mao Livehouse, and it opened over the weekend with a bang. But that was the easy part. The question is, can they keep the momentum going?

The answer, at least for the next month, is yes. If you’re around for October holiday, Mao Livehouse has made itself the place to be, having released its October schedule.

Note: The Mushrooms (formerly the Crazy Mushroom Brigade) are set to play on Oct. 3. Andy Best reports that the group is “in the closing stages of negotiating a record deal that might take them off to Taiwan.”

What’s this mean for you? October 3 might be your last chance to see this Shanghai-based nu metal band play an affordable gig. If you’re looking for an excuse to check out the new livehouse and need to mosh out some aggression, the Mushrooms' heavy riffs are worth the trip to Red Town.
