The Shanghai 2010 Expo's over, the crowds have gone home. We look to see what's left at the once overcrowded site

After months of build up and over 180 days of operation, the 2010 Expo closed its doors on October 31. With the Expo now officially over, it's time for one final task: packing up.

Countries are moving their exhibitions out of the site, some back to their home country, some to the nearest landfill.

The China Pavillion and the Expo Axis among others will remain, but the individual country pavilions will be going to the scrap heap.

We take one last look at the Expo, now that all the crowds(and most of the workers) have left.

Shanghai 2010 Expo - dogs

Stray dogs have the run of the 2010 Expo now, these particular ones seem a bit better fed than your average Shanghai stray.

Shanghai 2010 Expo - empty

Parts of the elevated walkway will be left standing when the Expo site is redeveloped.

Shanghai 2010 Expo - plants

The entrance to the Pacific Joint Pavilion looks downright tropical.

Shanghai 2010 Expo - zombie movie

Some parts of the Expo site resemble a set for a horror movie, just add zombies.
