The faces of China -- one portrait at a time
ChinaHush turned us on to a book of portraits posted on ChinaGate called ‘Harmonious China: A Sketch of China’s 56 Ethnicities.’ Here 14 photographers spent a year traveling, covering 10,000km and documenting China’s 56 ethnic minorities.
It’s interesting that these photos include ethnic Koreans and Taiwanese minorities as well as the more well-known ones in China like the Miao and Hui.
Although 92 percent of the population might be Han, these photos represent the true faces of china. To see all of the photos, go to ChinaGate.
