Every now and then there’s a commercial worth watching. We were surprised to find the latest one is from CCTV. The commercial highlights some of China’s greatest achievements through traditional water and ink painting. A modern take on the tradition -- this is where Chinese creatives seem to be heading.

Not even beer is safe from shanzhai reproduction. When you're in Western China be sure that the green and gold can you’re picking up doesn't say TasingTao.

Apparently it’s not a good idea to throw litter out of high-rise windows -- who knew? The city is now considering implementing a penalty up to RMB 200 for littering from buildings. The new rules would pertain only to throwing garbage from buildings, not general littering on the street.
