China's funnyman in hospital
Chinese comedian Zhao Benshan is treated for a stroke in Shanghai

Zhao Benshan in the 2000 film "Xingfu shiguang" (aka "Happy Times"). Guangxi Film Studio/Sony Pictures ClassicsZhao Benshan, a household name in China for his comedy routines, had a stoke and is being treated in Shanghai.
Zhao Benshan was in town shooting the sequel of the popular TV series "Village Love" when he felt sick and was taken to the hospital.
Dr Song Donglei, of Huashan Hospital's neurosurgery department says "He is expected to have a good recovery under our treatment.”
Hospital administrators report that Zhao Benshan is conscious and "hopes to eat the mooncakes” wth the staff during the the Mid-Autumn Festival on Saturday.
Zhao Benshan also copped some criticism for a citizenship snafu, when he was reportedly switching from Chinese to Canadian citizenship -- and then not.
