Allen Iverson rumored to be moving to China

Unloved by the NBA this year, reports suggest Allen Iverson is considering a move to play for the Chinese Basketball Association

With Allen Iverson not feeling love from the NBA, he's looking to bring his game to the other side of the Pacific.
With Allen Iverson not feeling the love from NBA teams as training camp season approaches, Gary Moore, Iverson's personal manager, has recently said that Iverson is considering playing in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

Moore told reporters that there is "legitimate interest" from both Iverson and Chinese basketball teams, although he neglected to say which Chinese teams had reached out.

Hoops Market reports rumors that he’s in talks with Foshan, the new name of Shanxi Zhongyu.

During the peak of his career, Iverson was a global basketball star, a former MVP, former finals competitor and former NBA All-Star, although he only played three games for Memphis last season before returning to the Philadelphia 76ers and taking a leave of absence in March due to “family issues.”

Iverson is currently at 17th on the NBA's career scoring list with 24,368 points over a 14-year career.

But some have speculated that his career is coming to an end due to an arthritic left knee that needed constant draining last season.

“I don’t think he’s done,” Moore told reporters.

If Iverson moves to China to lead a CBA team and his knee holds up, he’d be in good company. Former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury has also made the move to the Shanxi Zhongyu, one of China’s worst performing teams until Marbury joined.
