When this vegetarian restaurant switched from traditional Chinese fare to modern, we were skeptical about the attempt at fusion.
Turns out that most of Vegetarian Lifestyle’s new dishes are tasty, even for non-vegs. The appeal of vegetarian culture and vegetarian food really comes through here.
The flavors of Vegetarian Lifestyle's faux sautéed eel, which they make with mushrooms, is totally on point. The vegetarian sausage appetizer is good as well.
Another favorite fusion dish here is the Turkish eggplant -- fried eggplant rounds in a marinara-inspired sauce, faux mince pork and a splash of pesto.
For dessert, the jujube jelly, with hints of brown sugar, is a must.
