The Shanghai Pizza Hut salad bar challenge
To help stem costs, in late 2009 Pizza Hut China officially implemented a “one trip to the salad bar" rule (individual stores had been doing this for some time). Clearly customers were not pleased.
To ensure that they get the most bang for their yuan, local patrons have put their engineering skills to the test to see just how much food they can fit on one plate. (Possibly the reason the "one trip to the salad bar" rule was implemented in the first place?) As one blogger puts it, these recipes are “a mix of being smart, being cheap and being bored.”
Caution: these salads were created by 'professional' salad builders. If you mess this up in front of your date, that’s your own fault and you'd probably be best off looking for a truly impressive Shanghai pizza instead next time.
