Phat in Shanghai's Sandy confesses devotion to her "Arugula Lady" (aka the "Avocado Lady) who sells more than basic veggies, including fresh basil, blocks of parmesan and balls of fresh mozzarella.Shanghai loves its food. You can get just about cuisine, flavor or taste here (some things just require a bit more effort). That said, there are a number of blogs here that are dedicated to all things mouth-bound, but like the food itself -- some blogs are better than other.
A new blog recently caught our eye: Phat in Shanghai. The name itself will stick with you even if you’re not a cuisine connoisseur.
Completely unpretentious, Sandy catalogues her life in Shanghai through food: the good, the bad, the homemade, the store bought, the high-end expat locales and the local holes in the wall.
Writing this just makes us hungry for the lanzhou la mian (a Hui halal hand-pulled noodle dish) Phat in Shanghai recently wrote about.
