Little Sheep making a big statement.
Just because Little Sheep is a no-frills hot pot restaurant with harried staff and low prices, don’t discount the power of its magical broth and meltingly-fatty lamb slices.
This hugely successful chain pulled in over RMB 1.2 billion last year and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The Little Sheep website claims hot pot was created by Genghis Khan’s chefs who were in a hurry to serve the great general before a battle, and you may feel you have entered a battle scene when you get in the long cramped line for dinner.
Eating at Little Sheep is a full-on experience: the din of clattering plates, the steam of a hundred boiling pots and a raucous, red-faced crowd of diners happily dipping meats and veggies in intense, fiery broth which includes Chinese medicinal spices.
