When you step through Fortune Garden's doors, you might as well have entered Hong Kong, and that’s a good thing when you’re at a Cantonese restaurant.
The Fortune Garden manager speaks excellent English, his staff know the menu back and forth, and the interiors are in clean black and white hues, polished and modern.
The menu is a colorful catalog of authentic Cantonese dishes, covering more than 250 choices. Top dishes are the intriguing iced “vegetarian abalone” (cunningly made of tofu), the juicy barbecued meats, and the crisp, savory softshell crab.
Although service can be slow when the place is packed, the late night opening time leaves the option of dining during off-peak hours. Besides, Fortune Garden's crave-inducing barbecue pork and crispy durian pastries are just the thing for a midnight snack.
