Eduardo Vargas does it again ... and again
Eduardo Vargas' new brasserie has a 'cheese cave.' Call us when it's springtime.Shanghai’s own Peruvian restaurant mogul Eduardo Vargas has opened another place. This time it's a casual French brasserie called Balthazar.
Tucked into the bustling Taikang Lu strip and housed in a 1920s Shanghai home, Balthazar is doing a soft opening through the end of October, offering two-for-one prices on all draft beers and 30 percent off of food. Delicious meals and good service is practically a given -- these are staples Vargas rarely gets wrong.
According to SmartShanghai, Balthazar has a 20-meter-long French-style bar on the first floor (although we doubt that number after seeing it in person), and a cheese cave on the second floor.
