For all cinema lovers in Seoul, Toykino Museum is fun, quirky place to visit. The museum houses an extensive collection of more than 70,000 character figurines and toys from famous movies and anime series of the past.
Toykino features special rooms dedicated to beloved characters from sagas such as "Star Wars," "Alien," "The Lord of the Rings" and "Harry Potter." There are also exhibition halls for American comic book heroes and Japanese anime characters. Many of the featured toys are rare collectibles.
One visit is not enough as what you see in the museum on any given visit is only a portion of the entire collection. According to Toykino's curator, Son Won Kyeong, 200,000 toys are rotated year-round for display.
