Latest Seoul luxury spas
As Asia's most image-obsessed city, Seoul's wide range of beauty businesses cater to Seoulites and tourists alike.
Mom-and-pop massage shops can be found on almost every other block, while high-end brands often have private rooms for facials at individual branches and department stores.
On the back of growing demand for such services, three brands launched new spas earlier this year. All three promise to provide private and rejuvenating, if expensive, experiences for those with hectic city lives.
La Mer

The spa has only one room. According to La Mer marketing manager Sunghee Yoon, limited space allows for more emphasis on privacy.
The facial service alone uses more than half a tub of La Mer crème. All products used in the facial treatment are from La Mer.
One type of sheet mask is sold by reservation only, and the waiting period can take as long as three months due to high demand.
All services are available by appointment only.

La Boutique Bleue: Swiss Perfection

According to marketing manager Euzung Chun, the Hannam branch is the most private of the five Seoul spas, and accepts the least number of clients per day. It uses equipments brought in from the company's Switzerland headquarters.
The building itself has been constructed using environmentally friendly material.

SK-II Boutique Spa

SK-II's first boutique spa in Korea is its fifth in the world. Marketing manager Jinjoo Lee says that the Dosan branch is the biggest and most luxurious spa from the skin-care company.
The first floor has skin-care products. The second floor a reception and lounge area. The third floor is for facials and body treatments. The fourth floor is for VIPs. The top floor has a rooftop garden.
Services starts with a “vision scope” examination of skin condition. Special programs include those catering to soon-to-be brides and grooms, and complete body treatments.
