Seoul Art Space Sindang

Wedged between restaurants and textile stores in the Sindang underground arcade is artist studio complex Seoul Art Space.

The venue is part of Seoul's Urban Renewal Project, which seeks to transform abandoned spaces in the city into workshops to support amateur artists and provide underprivileged citizens with a quality creative outlet.

Seoul Art Space Sindang now holds over 40 working studios used by artists from a variety of fields, including embroidery, pottery and metal art. The place breathes a fresh and modern spirit into old underground spaces that have long been filled with traditional clothing shops.

Visitors can check out the small exhibition hall of the complex or participate in some of the free workshops offered by the studio.
