More for your T-Money
We think the "Happy Smile i-Centers" could look, well, happier and smilier, but that's just our opinion. Seoul's ubiquitous transit card, the T-money smart card, has just become even easier to use.
From now on, T-money services previously available only at convenience stores and the Korea Smart Card headquarters will now be easily accessible from the subway.
Previously, the T-money services available inside subway stations had been limited to recharging credit or buying disposable single-use cards.
With the new services, Seoulites can buy rechargeable T-money cards, receive refunds on leftover card credit, transfer credit from one card to another, or convert T-money mileage into usable credit -- all right from inside the station.
Follow Donga Ilbo's advice and collect scattered credit onto one card, and make the most of the previously useless leftover credit.
The new T-money services are available at customer service centers in the stations of transit lines one through four, and at the chirpily named "5678 Happy Smile i-Centers" at stations of transit lines five to eight.
