First CNN Cafe opens in Seoul

Managed by YBM, Korea's largest English education company in conjunction with Turner Asia Pacific, CNN Café opened at the Jongro branch of Young Poong Bookstore this week.
It aims to attract the growing number of the self-employed seeking a coffice (cafe-office) and students who use coffeeshops as a place to study or hang out. As well as a study-distracting CNN ticker, the café offers free Wi-Fi, computers and printing services.
"CNN Café is not just a coffeeshop, but an information hub," says Ron Lee, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Turner Entertainment Networks Korea. "We plan on expanding CNN-branded venues throughout the country."
Turner and its sister company CNN own and operate CNNGo.
YBM staff will be at the cafe at various times to help answer questions about studying abroad, learning English, the TOEIC English language test.
Customers who purchase books at Young Poong Bookstore receive 10 percent off café purchases.
