The Bar, Sinchon

There's no better way to describe The Bar than as whimsical -- not the most most common adjective to apply to a bar.

It's colorful, it's cluttered, and walking inside is a bit like walking through the wardrobe and finding Narnia, if Narnia was the Haight District in San Francisco.

While The Bar’s drinks menu isn't revolutionary, there's a solid selection of beer, wine and cocktails, and prices are decidedly affordable. Plus, the staff are wonderful and friendly.

The Bar has managed to obtain a dedicated set of Korean and expat regulars.

While it can get pretty crazy on Friday and Saturday nights, it's also quiet enough on the weekdays to make it a great place to have a few drinks with friends.
