Indian craft all-stars meet in Mumbai

Paramparik Karigar is an association of crafts people established in 1996 to preserve and promote traditional Indian arts and crafts. This April they're introducing 30 new artists from 14 Indian states, showcasing 30 different art forms in a five-day exhibition at The Musuem in Mumbai.
This includes a number of crafts being exhibited by Paramparik Karigar for the first time, as well as an opportunity to meet and interact with highly talented master craftsmen and acquire their works.
We say master craftspeople because they are known nationally in their respective genres, and come from families that have been practicing these craft traditions for generations.
These include:
- Thewa and Kota saris weavers from Rajasthan
- Chamba Rumul embroiderers from Himachal Pradesh
- Horn and shell sculptors from West Bengal
- Gemstone carvers from Rajasthan
- Mat weavers from West Bengal
- Molela terracotta idol sculptors from Rajasthan
- Muriya wood sculptors from Bastar
- Kauna mat weavers from Manipur
- Sanjjhi paper stencil artists from Uttar Pradesh
