Juice Lite: Mumbai services beauty addicts

Most girls here know the story of Mumbai's Juice beauty salon. The first truly hip hair stylists to hit Mumbai, Adhuna Bhabani and her brother Osh, opened Juice in 1998. They quickly became stylists to Bollywood stars such as Akshaye Khanna, Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta, then Adhuna married one (director and actor Farhan Akhtar), and sold Juice to their partner Nitin Kalwani around 2005 to start the even edgier destination hair salon b:blunt.

Juice then became a Starbucks of sorts, with five locations around Mumbai (as well as Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune and Dubai). The new news is that Juice Lite is now open to serve Mumbai women who want their beauty treatments even more fast and frugal. At two new locations at Juhu and Colaba, haircuts start at Rs 140 and hair spa treatments from Rs 600.

Juice Lite brings with it the popular Nail Bar by Juice, one of the best places for acrylic nail extensions, nail art and finger facials in the city -- in case you pop in for a quick trim, forget that you're in a rush and emerge two hours later with a flutter of butterflies stenciled on your fingernails.
