House by the beach: Mumbai's latest dance phenomenon

A collective of Indian and French DJs have organized sundown dance sessions at a time when the main Friday and Saturday party crowd is taking the day off.

"Trips abroad, raves, imported mixtapes and drum'n'bass and newly discovered Asian underground sounds brought together a few party people and creative minds such as Mr Tee, Bhaisaab, Insat, Kutklass Masta Justy. First parties in dodgy bars managed by wannabe mafia goons, followed by neon light Gandhian glasses party and multiple events in Bombay's hippest or shaddiest venues."
At the beginning of the 21st century, the collective was joined in Mumbai by Charlee, MMAT and Loopkin, a crew of French "refugees" (cool code for Frenchmen who became more local than the locals) and what happened after that is too chaotic to describe here. Let's just say they created an international, urban clubbing experience with a local aesthetic.
And that's what you can expect from the Sunday sessions as well.
The Bhavishyavani Future Soundz + Aurus parties got off to a great start in October with Mathew Jonson, Bandish Projekt, Peter Kruder (of Kruder & Dorfmeister), Midival Punditz and Karsh Kale, Mathias Schaffhauser and SHPONGLE.
For the upcoming Xmas weekend it's M.A.N.D.Y of the Get Physical label (host of Booka Shade, ModeSelektor...). These are, if you don't know it already, some of the most exciting pioneers of electronic music on the planet.
