LSD Love Sex aur Dhokha
Listen to the dialogue between the filmmaker and his mother, here on his blog, where he tries to explain what LSD is all about.

Directed by the path breaking Dibakar Banerjee ("Khosla Ka Ghosla", "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!") and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, "LSD Love Sex aur Dhokha" (loosely translated as Love, Sex and Betrayal) is India's premier digital film -- raw, explicit and has cult cross over written all over it.

The synopsis for the February 2010 film reads thus, "Love Sex aur Dhokha is a film about voyeurism. It is essentially about how we have become a generation of voyeurs and flashers simultaneously. This film is about keyhole. On one side of the keyhole is a guy who is peeping in and on other side, there is a person who is hoping that someone is peeping in, and then its us, who are seeing all this. And it is adding bizarre subtext to our society. On television, newspapers, other media, we are obsessed with the most meaningless trivia of what other people are doing about their life."

"The film is a roller coaster ride told through the chaos of the camera that has invaded all our lives -- through handy cams filming home movies, security cameras shooting every inch of existence, mobile phones transmitting love messages, sting cameras uncovering uncomfortable truths."

Says producer Ekta in a MidDay interview, "We have already edited the 90-second promo thrice! When I first saw it, I was so shocked I fell off my chair. We had to edit almost 30 percent of the controversial version."

The 90-second promo of LSD will be released along with Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" in theatres across India on Christmas day and the filmmakers are releasing an unedited version on the internet simultaneously with the trailer.

When? That's up to you, apparently.

On the film's Facebook fan page it says, "Guys! The trailer is almost ready, if we cross 5,000 fans by this week, then all the fans get to see the promo even before it hits the TV or cinema. Isn't that exciting? So get going and invite your friends right now!!" At last count "LSD" the movie had 1,500 fans.

Talk about cult.
