Taj hotel General Manager Karamvir Kang was one of the heroes of that night, but the description doesn't sit well with him he says, when asked. Karamvir Kang, General Manager of the Taj Hotel in Mumbai lost his wife and two young sons in the terror attacks. He worked tirelessly through the night of 26/11 trying to save lives while his family burned to death in a sixth floor suite of the hotel.
Apoorva Parikh was dining at the Oberoi Hotel when he was caught up in the terror strikes. He was lined up with a group of 18 people and shot at by the terrorists who left him for dead. He lay underneath a pile of dead bodies, including those of his two best friends for hours. He eventually managed to free himself, drank water from an air conditioning unit to survive, before he was rescued three days after he was shot at. Last year, he spoke exclusively to CNN about his ordeal.
