Bollywood nightmares: Shah Rukh Khan lip syncing to Akon
All those looking forward to SRK's latest Bollywood flick "RA.One", listen up: it will include a bizarre cross cultural celebrity collaboration
SRK becomes Akon's mouthpiece in "RA.One".Tomorrow international pop singer Akon will be arriving in Mumbai and taken straight to a recording studio to lay down a track for upcoming Bollywood film "RA.One".
Indiatimes Movies reports, "Shah Rukh will lip-sync Akon's lines. The song, in Hindi and English, will also feature a female voice since Kareena Kapoor will be dancing with Shah Rukh in the song. The female voice has not been decided as yet. But Kareena Kapoor giving playback for herself is not ruled out."
The film's director Anubhav Sinha is pretty psyched about the whole experience judging by his Twitter page.
Still, the idea of an aging Shahrukh Khan playing a superhero in tights as the face for Akon's over modulated voice in a Bollywood SFX action extravaganza is a curious, some might say laughable, proposition.
It's not all bad news though.
Sinha says, "Akon is only singing for our film. He is not acting in Ra.One."
