Oprah to visit India, likely to attend Lit Fest
Winfrey will interview spiritual guru Deepak Chopra in India for her new television show "NEXT CHAPTER."“Never been to India, it’s been on my vision board forever,” U.S. TV talk show queen Oprah Winfrey announced on Twitter last week.
“YES! I am coming to India next month for 1st time as part of NEXT CHAPTER!,” she said.
"NEXT CHAPTER" is Oprah's new talk show which debuted January 1 on her own TV network, Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
Unlike her previous studio show which ran for 25 years, "NEXT CHAPTER" sees her travel around the world, interviewing celebrities and news-makers.
And next up, confirmed, is Deepak Chopra in India. The author and spiritual guru is speaking at the Jaipur Literature Festival in the northern Indian city on January 22.
“...let’s hook up in Jaipur or Mumbai,” Oprah told one fan on Twitter.
“V happy about Oprah @OprahWinfreyNet joining me in India in 2 weeks,” confirmed Chopra via Twitter on Wednesday.
“We have invited Oprah Winfrey for the show but we are yet waiting for the confirmation," Abhishek Shivam of Teamworks, partners with the Jaipur lit fest, told jaipur.co.
