According to a forecast issue of Forbes magazine, Mumbai-based business tycoon Mukesh Ambani could be the richest man on earth by 2014.

The publication put before themselves the "thought experiment" of "predicting the future that’s just around the corner" based on events that could happen over the next 10 years in the field of politics, energy, medicine, finance, society and technology.

It's called the Forbes's special report "2020: What Happens Next: Our Look Ahead."

It estimates Reliance Industries' chief's current net worth of USD $29 billion will grow to $62 billion, ousting Mexican businessman Carlos Slim to top the list.

Right now 53-year-old Ambani currently ranks fourth on their list of the world's top billionaires.
