Cheerleader sacked for blogging about 'naughty' cricketers

Sacked South African cheerleader Gabriella Pasqualotto's blog takes a stab at "loose and mischievous" Indian Premier League players

It's all a bit of IPL silliness really. As Mumbai celebrity blogger Miss Malini writes, "I’ve heard way too many Yuvraj Singh party stories to be at all surprised by any of this!"

But not for 22-year-old South African cheerleader Gabriella Pasqualotto, who was sent home this week after her blog, "The Secret Diary of an IPL Cheerleader," called cricketers "the most loose and mischievous sportsmen I have come across."

In fact, she named names.

On the good boy list: MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar.

In contrast, "Graeme Smith will flirt with anything while his girlfriend lurks behind him. The Aussies are fun but naughty, such as Aiden Blizzard and Dan Christian," Pasqualotto writes.

The Hindustan Times reports, "One of her fellow cheerleaders informed cricketers in the team who complained to the IPL chairman. Pasqualotto was sacked and sent home."

Pasqualotto, who cheerleads for the Mumbai Indians, told a South African paper, "I was sent home as if I was a criminal. I was treated as if I had taken drugs or done something awful, and I was never offered an opportunity to give my side of the story."

Apart from her blog, that is.
