Salt Water Cafe has a new monsoon menu

You can give the Spanish omlette and John Dory fish a break for Chef Gresham Fernandes's new medley of modern Mumbai bistro cuisine
Salt Water Cafe mumbaiRiyaaz Amlani, owner of Salt Water Café has the pulse of Mumbai's yuppie café culture, his latest -- the "Bespoke Café" at Lower Parel's posh Palladium mall.

Since Salt Water Café is something of a culinary hub in Bandra, our two-year-old fall-back option for brunch, lunch, dinner and coffee we're updating you on their seasonal menu switch. Mostly because the food's good enough to warrant a discussion in the first place, which is more than we can say for many a Bandra café pretending it can whip up a meal beyond coffee and cakes.

Chef Gresham Fernandes's new menu is unusually modern, lays its emphasis on seasonal produce and if you payattention, you'll notice there's always a nod to Mumbai in there somewhere.

Fork your way through a showcase of some of his kitchen's best work, including:
