Mangi Ferra
Despite big windows, sheer curtains and varying levels of seating, most report that Mangi Ferra is warm and cozy.

This Italian eatery's name may come from the mango tree (mangi ferra) at its entrance, but don’t expect orange fruit to suffuse the menu, except in its token mango martini.

Instead, Mangi Ferra dishes out traditional Italian favorites such as Napolitana wood-fired pizzas, carpaccio of pink salmon with a drizzle of balsamic reduction, thin slices of parma ham with rucola salad, al dente pastas and cocktails. It's strictly the basics, but the basics done well.

Because the waiters are friendly and radiate a relaxed air, you can trust that they won't disturb your first date or catch-up lunch with incessant questions about how you're enjoying your pasta Arrabiata. All this, combined with pastel walls, wooden furnishings and genteel clientele make Mangi Ferra the perfect antidote to city life.
