World Cup shows in 3D for the first time in Hong Kong. Here's where and how to get up close to the action.

Fancy feeling like you're actually on the pitch with the likes of Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo during a World Cup match? The closest you’ll get to that in Hong Kong is watching the World Cup in 3D at the Grand Ocean Theatre in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The 3D World Cup shows will start running tonight until the end of the tournament and tickets go for HK$300 per head. Eighteen of the tourney’s 25 games will be screened in 3D in Hong Kong, and tickets for tonight and tomorrow's games are available online via the theatre’s official website.

Feedback from test viewers yesterday were generally buoyant, the South China Morning Post reported, although some felt that the HK$300 entrance fee was a bit steep.

Not that the expensive price tag will deter die-hard football fan -- the Portugal vs Brazil match next Friday is already sold out as it were. Fans better book fast if they want to catch some hyper-real action.

Sixteen other cinemas in Hong Kong are also reportedly trying to get approved by FIFA to show the World Cup in 3D in Hong Kong, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
