It's official: Wynn Macau's sky suite has the best sea view among the city's presidential suites.

The Hurun Report, China’s unabashed authority on all things moneyed, announced its picks for “Macau’s Best Presidential Suites” this week.

Given the Chinese nouveau-riche’s unwavering attraction to gold, Hurun’s results are as gilded and over-the-top as you’d expect.

Wynn Macau’s two-bedroom sky suite, priced at HK$35,000 a night and overlooking the South China Sea, bagged the "best sea view" prize. MGM Grand Macau's by-invitation-only villas were deemed "most glamorous."  Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16’s “Blanc Romance” and “Black Galaxy” mansions, decorated in all-white and all-black themes, were deemed most romantic. A night’s stay currently goes for the promotional price of HK$8,888 (the figure "8" is a wordplay on the Chinese character meaning "get rich").

Hard Rock Hotel’s Rock Star Suite predictably took home the "best rock and roll style" prize (we smell tautology), and Crown Tower’s one-bedroom villa, overlooking the Cotai, had the best panorama. Rooms are priced at HK$58,888 and HK38,880 a night, respectively.
