On March 27, from 8:30-9:30pm, The Backyard at Langham Place Hotel will be lit up by 5,000 chemical-free soy candles and serve party guests 100% sustainable Champagne and canapes as well as organic shooters. Solar-lit break dancers will also perform.

Guests staying in the hotel will be asked to turn off the lights in their rooms and join the party in The Backyard. The hotel estimates it will turn off about 5,000 lightbulbs for Earth Hour.
Langham Place Hotel's Chuan Spa is also launching a "Fire and Ice" treatment until March 31. The climate change-themed spa treatment utilizes hot stones and iced crystal gemstones inspired by the wild and unpredictable weather fluctuations happening around the world. HK$150 from the HK$1,500 treatment will be donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature in support of their campaign against global warming.
