Valcucine Hong Kong debut: Sexed-up kitchens

Valcucine makes kitchens like haute couture. The brand produces the kind of showpiece kitchens with such effortless good looks that even though we can barely cook an egg, we find ourselves inexplicably drooling over the sexy, gleaming high-design sinks and cabinets. Valcucine is opening its first Hong Kong flagship store and 6,000 square-foot showroom in Happy Valley at the end of this month and we are preparing to transfer our home-furnishings cruising from IKEA to the Italian kitchen boutique.

Using durable aluminium alloys for all their wares, Valcucine's products are 100 per cent recyclable and abide to international standards of eco-sustainability. Other breakthrough innovations such as a 2mm tempered glass door panel and heat-resistant glass table show plenty of substance to support all that prettiness. All the better for us to justify our future impluse buys.
