2 Hong Kong computer festivals go head to head -- consumers win!
Last year's Hong Kong Computer Festival, held near four major computer malls in Hong Kong, drew massive crowds. As two Hong Kong computer festivals compete against each other, we as bargain-hunting tech geeks, are loving free market competition.
The annual Hong Kong Computer Festival organized by the Chamber of Hong Kong Computer Industry sells IT products on the cheap and lures crowds of bargain hunters away from vendors that don't participate. Upset vendors from four computer speciality malls have decided to fight back and launched the first Sham Shui Po Computer Festival today.More than 600 vendors are participating and will be selling computers and accessories for deeply slashed prices. The Hong Kong Computer Festival, on the other hand, is shying away from their original location near the incensed computer malls and relocating to Cheung Sha Wan Playground where they will kick-off this coming Friday.
