Gallery: Vivienne Westwood and Lee Jeans collaboration debuts in Hong Kong
All the highlights from yesterday's much-hyped debut of the punkified denimwear
By Tiffany Lam 21 January, 2010The much-hyped collaboration between Vivienne Westwood and Lee Jeans debuted at the designer’s Spring/Summer presentation at Hong Kong Fashion Week yesterday.
As expected, the British fashion doyenne gave the no-frills American jeans company the rock star treatment for the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and Lee collection, with superskinny jeans, microshorts, and bondage jeans washed in metallics, or printed with trompe l’oeil lace designs. Check out the punky looks, and Hong Kong tastemaker Wyman Wong’s appearance, in the gallery above.
The show was supervised by Westwood’s husband and creative director Andreas Kronthaler who flew in for the event.
The line will be sold at Vivienne Westwood’s 12 boutiques in Hong Kong at an unspecified future date and items range from ₤80 (HK$1,012) to ₤200. Vivienne Westwood and Lee Jeans will team up for more than one season.
