'Final Fantasy' at the Hong Kong International Airport
14 PlayStation game poles are set up throughout the Hong Kong International Airport for free public access, the Airport Authority announced yesterday. The Hong Kong International Airport has come up with the perfect way to kill time before flights. The Airport Authority has just announced that they’re teaming up with Sony to set up 14 free PlayStation 3 Game Poles throughout the airport, including spots at Terminal One boarding gates and the Coach Station in Terminal Two.
The PS Game Poles will showcase Sony’s latest including “James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game,” “Final Fantasy XIII,” “Assassin's Creed 2,” and “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.”
The Hong Kong International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports and the average wait time within the airport’s restricted area is well over three hours, giving passengers plenty of play time. We just hope players don't become so engrossed in the games that they miss their flights. More hissy fits over missed flights such as that from Airport Auntie would not be a good thing. Although for sheer entertainment value, this beats any game hands down.
