Pen spinning in Hong Kong: Now a competitive sport
The Pen Spinning World Tournament Hong Kong preliminaries were held last weekend and CNNGo was in the audience. It's not quite as dangerous as the knife-spinning antics of one young Chinese chef, but we were blown away by the biro acrobatics displayed by competitors. Watching these kids twirl their way through an increasingly difficult range of pen spinning tricks with names like Infinity, Sonic and Charge, we have never felt more undexterous.
Hats off to 14-year old Eugene Wong, crowned Hong Kong's 2010 pen spinning champ. The battle for the world title will be held next year.
The Hong Kong preliminaries were judged by the Hong Kong Pen Spinning Association hkpsa.com. Also see the rock-paper-scissors contest and other sports you've never heard of.
