Kayak & Hike allows you to live, and not just imagine, the experience of kayaking through sea arches made of volcanic rock and setting foot on a secret village, 20 years behind the rest of Hong Kong.

For more than a decade, British local Paul Etherington of Kayak & Hike fame has made it his business to expose the flipside of our concrete jungle. A daytrip with Paul begins with cruising the seas in the Black Mamba, a dangerously fast ex-marine police power boat. Then kayaking past volcanic coastline, into sea caves and through sea arches.

Once you've taken in the view from above, snorkel your way through the underwater scenery. At the end of the day, your last stop will be a meal at a hidden fishing village only accessible by boat. Intrepid explorers will be pleased to know that the gutsy Brit also does hiking trips in the winter months and offers overnight options.
