iPad Hong Kong: 6-player shoot-out with the MPad app
Mix and match the iPhone and iPad: Hong Kong games developers Play More will be launching the iPad app "MPad" that allows up to six players in their games with the use of iPhones.
Use wifi or bluetooth to link iPhone-controllers to the iPad, then start shooting out each other's spaceships (see demo above). The use of iPhones as controllers allows for motion sensing control, just like playing Wii, and no limits on the number of players, although six or more causes the game to stall.
This reminds us that Magic Jungle Software once used the iPad as a gaming console by hooking it up to a 42-inch monitor and iPhone-controllers, causing Distorted-Loop.com to speculate on the possibiliy of an Apple TV in the near future.
For now, we will settle for our grey market iPad in Hong Kong and try to hook it up to our shanzhai iPhones with the US$0.99 MPad app. Play More has also said they may come up with an iPhone/ iPad Hong Kong game like mahjong or Big Two. We can't wait.
