International Pillow Fight Day lands in Hong Kong

Get your goose down mojo on: It's no-holds-barred, pillow-to-pillow combat with more than 1,000 people at Statue Square

International Pillow Fight Day
International Pillow Fight Day celebrated in Minsk in 2009.

More than 1,200 people have signed up on Facebook for the Hong Kong chapter of International Pillow Fight Day. A public pillow fight is just what the doctor ordered for Hongkongers' suppressed inner child.

The event will take place on April 2 in Statue Square, Central. In the shadow of some of the most somber buildings sheltering some of the most stoic people in the city, a huge party of playful violence and hysterical childishness is set to take place.

Bring your own pillow (no feathers allowed). Leave your inhibitions at home.

April 2, 5-5:30 p.m. Statue Square, Central MTR Exit K. See Facebook event page for more details.
