The Hong Kong Film Archive, a four-story hub of all things cinema in Hong Kong, allows us to recreate that 50's romance about seeing old movies on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Regularly hosting thematic retrospectives, symposiums and seminars, the Hong Kong Film Archive’s recent exhibitions have looked at Eileen Chang's influences in film, the on-screen exploits of cross-dressing 50's actress Yam Kim-fai, and the early films of the Yuen clan.
Screenings of classic Hong Kong films are held there daily and the cinema is available for private events. True film buffs can also register to access the complete collection at Hong Kong Film Archive and online catalogue.
