Vivek Mahbubahni in Chinese opera inspired drag.

Hong Kong comedy fixture the TakeOut Comedy Club is out to put us in a jolly mood for Christmas tomorrow with stand-up show “First TakeOut Comedy Jam 2009.” The show stars the city’s upcoming comedic talents at HITEC for one night only.

Prize-winning funnyman Vivek Mahbubani, a familiar face among locals for starring in hit TVB drama “All's Well, Ends Well,” is sure to steal the spotlight (we’re grinning at his campy promotional poster already), but other local talents we should keep our eyes on are FAB, the funniest Chinese comedian in 2008 and Matina Leung, finalist of the 2009 HK International Chinese and English Comedy Competition.

To catch this Hong Kong comedy extravaganza, reserve HK$200 tickets through TakeOut Comedy’s Jami Gong at +852 6220 4436.
