Travel glossy Travel + Leisure loves Hong Kong's airport lounge
Travel and Leisure magazine voted a Cathay Pacific lounge at Hong Kong International Airport as the world's best airport lounge in their inaugural Airport Awards for their May 2010 issue.
The 1,980 square foot lounge, called The Arrival, is located in the passageway between Terminals 1 and 2 and is one of Cathay's most exclusive lounges at the Hong Kong airport. Only same-day arrivals on Cathay and Dragonair's First Class seats, Marco Polo Club gold tier members and above, and Emerald members of oneworld can have access to the sanctuary. The John Pawson designed space contains a noodle bar, self-serve buffet and work stations, but its the 8 private marble-clad shower areas that tipped the scales to make this the world's best for T+L.
