That said, Lady Gaga posted a video thanking her admirers, or “Little Monsters,” for helping her make Facebook history on July 3.
In this side of the world, it’s Bambi-eyed songstress Gigi Leung who takes the crown when it comes to social networking popularity, with 914,709 fans on Sina Weibo, a Chinese Twitter of sorts, according to Apple Daily. Leung's Weibo page caused a stir on the Chinese mainland earlier this year when authorities tried to censor a post she wrote sympathizing with victims of the Chinese fake milk powder scandal. These days, she fills her page with considerably less incendiary self portraits.
Shawn Yue, chiseled star of runaway hit “Love in a Puff," has attracted 270,485 Facebook friends with his Lomo-style photos, making him the most popular Hong Kong celeb on Facebook, trumping established singer Sammi Cheng and small screen star Linda Chung.
