Taxman to chase Tony Chan for HK$300 million
Nina Wang's relatives triumphant after the court announced the verdict against Tony Chan.Chan's bill potentially includes upwards of HK$300 million in tax and penalty charges, as his claims of receiving billions of dollars from Nina Wang have not gone unnoticed by the Inland Revenue Department. He also owes the costs of the trial and, of course, he 'lost' his claims to Wang's estimated HK$100 billion estate.
To cap it all off, Chan may face a criminal investigation for the invalid will.
